Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort are beloved destinations for families and individuals of all ages. With their magical atmosphere and world-class attractions, these theme parks are known for providing unforgettable experiences. One of the best parts about Disney Parks is their commitment to providing accessible entertainment.
Disney goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit for everyone, including those with disabilities who rely on the assistance of service animals.
Animals at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort
At Disney World and Walt Disney World Resort, service animals are welcomed with open arms. From the iconic Magic Kingdom to the bustling Disney Springs, service animals are allowed in almost all areas of the parks, including attractions, restaurants, and shops. For many Guests, service animals are the only way that they can enjoy a vacation at Disney Parks in a safe way.
Usually, when you think of service animals, the animal that comes to mind is a dog. Service dogs are welcome at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, but many fans will be surprised to know that that is not the only animal allowed.
Service Horses Allowed at Disney Parks
“At Walt Disney World Resort, a service animal is a dog or miniature horse that is trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist, an individual with a disability.”
Furthermore, service miniature horses and dogs are allowed on a plethora of rides as well. Even though it is not common to see miniature horses in the Parks, it is wild to know that that is an option that is totally allowed.
It is wonderful to know that Disney makes such an effort to make the Parks accessible for all Guests and their service animals.
