Disney Dining Serving up the latest Disney Eats, Treats, News, and More!
On October 1, Disney kicked off its massive 18-month long 50th Anniversary celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. As a part of the bash, Disney introduced a new fireworks show called Disney Enchantment, a new nighttime show at EPCOT called Harmonious, a new attraction in EPCOT — Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure — and tons of great food and merchandise. Disney also promised that new surprises would be coming throughout the celebration, so there will always be something new to experience when visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth.

While most of the exciting new announcements have come from Walt Disney World itself, it looks like shopDisney is now getting in on the fun. shopDisney recently shared an image to its Twitter account, teasing a big surprise.

If you look closely, you can see a silhouette of Mickey Mouse just under the 50th emblem in the center of the castle, which could mean that some new Mickey merchandise is coming to shopDisney (and maybe the Parks). Disney just announced new Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh collections that were available at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, and shopDisney beginning December 27, so seeing another potential Mickey Mouse announcement is very exciting!

It was also recently announced that a special opportunity was coming to Disneyland Park where Guests could “rent out” Mickey’s ToonTown for 90 minutes and have their very own party to celebrate Mickey’s 94th birthday. The parties will begin on January 19 and run through March 6, and perhaps Walt Disney World has decided to do something equally special to celebrate the mouse who started it all.

Since launching its 50th Anniversary celebration, Disney has introduced new food — some of which is only available during the holiday season — and new merchandise that was not available when the celebration started. Disney is always working hard to bring new and exciting things to Guests visiting the Resort, so it’s very exciting to see that even more magical things are about to be unveiled!
