Let’s be honest, a trip to Walt Disney World is really an exercise program disguised as a vacation. Guests walk mile upon mile every day and, by the end of the night, your feet have had enough. While just walking around Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney Springs may be enough for some people, others like to go an extra mile or 13, maybe even 26!
The Walt Disney World Marathon weekend is one of the most popular weekends at Disney World, as runners from around the globe head to the Most Magical Place on Earth for the chance to run through the four theme parks before they are open to Guests. The full marathon weekend is not the only runDisney event that happens at the Resort throughout the year, and they are all loved by thousands.
In anticipation of the new year, runDisney has announced dates for the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend and more. Have a look!

Plus, with the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration lasting 18-months, you’ll have the opportunity to celebrate your accomplishments during The World’s Most Magical Celebration!
runDisney has also announced that they will be bringing back the much-loved virtual runDisney events for those who are unable to make it to Walt Disney World, as well as those who may not feel safe traveling at this time.
runDisney races are super fun events that not only runners can participate in. The races also offer 5k and 10k race options for those who want to join a runDisney race, but aren’t necessarily runners. But it’s not just the adults that can get in on the action. Most runDisney weekend events also have a kids race that is perfect for the little ones in your group, they even get a special medal!
