In recent years, Disney’s trend of transforming classic animated films into live-action adaptations has become a hallmark of its entertainment strategy.

The trend began with the enchanting reimagining of Alice in Wonderland (2010), directed by Tim Burton, which introduced viewers to a visually stunning and slightly darker Wonderland. This film’s success paved the way for Disney to explore their rich vault of animated classics.

One of the most iconic adaptations was Cinderella (2015), directed by Kenneth Branagh. It stayed faithful to the original story, adding depth to beloved characters and showcasing breathtaking costumes and set designs.

The Jungle Book (2016), directed by Jon Favreau, took CGI technology to new heights and wowed audiences with its stunningly realistic animals and lush jungle landscapes. The Lion King (2019), followed The Jungle Book with CGI technology and recreated the animated masterpiece.

One live-action film fans are hoping for is a live-action Frozen. The Direct reported on a video that has surfaced, which showed Margot Robbie as Queen Elsa in a live-action version of the beloved Disney franchise. Sadly, they crushed these rumors by saying it appeared to be a fake. This video went viral with over 1 million views.

Actress Margot Robbie has not indicated any interest in the role and recently mentioned taking a break from acting to focus on producing, making her participation in a Frozen movie highly unlikely in the near future.

Frozen (2013) is a story about the journey of two royal sisters, Elsa and Anna, each with unique powers and personalities. Elsa, voiced by Idina Menzel, possesses the magical ability to control ice and snow. Anna, voiced by Kristen Bell, is optimistic and determined to bring back summer and her sister back. Songs like “Let it Go” became a fan favorite.

The film’s success led to a sequel, Frozen II (2019), which continued the story and explored the origins of Elsa’s powers. While a live-action Frozen would hands down be a great film, it is not a focus of Disney’s yet.

So far, Disney has not announced that Frozen will have a live-action film. The next live-action film guests can expect to see is a live-action Moana and a live-action Snow White. The live-action Moana will feature Dwayne Johnson as Maui; however, Auli’i Cravalho will not be returning as Moana. The live-action Snow White will show changes from Disney’s original animated film, such as Rachel Zegler’s comments that Snow White will no longer need to be saved by a Prince.
