Rennervations Premiere

Renner Walks Red Carpet For First Time Since Accident For Disney+ Premiere

The first three episodes of Rennervations are now streaming on Dinsey+!

Jeremy Renner, also known as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, monopolized headlines after a horrific incident left him horribly injured. Now, the good-willed charity and vehicle renovation show that he finished filming just before the tragedy is finally streaming on Disney+.

Yesterday he made his first red carpet appearance since the accident for the show’s premiere with his ten-year-old daughter, Ava. The show served as his motivation to heal, so he could be up and walking for the Disney original project he deeply cares about.

In Rennervations‘ intro, Renner describes his business partner, Rory Millikin, as “charming and handsome in the dark.” Along with Rory and a highly-skilled team, Renner works to fix up decommissioned government vehicles to serve communities again, but differently. In an ABC News interview with Diane Sawyer, he mentioned that he does not like things to go to waste.

Episode one starts with Jeremy Renner playing piano and singing a haunting “House Of The Rising Sun” by the Animals in an open warehouse. Did you know Hawkeye could sing?

He’s about to surprise you again. He wants to turn an old tour bus, with a steering wheel bigger than his body, into a mobile music studio for a youth charity in Chicago. The Base Chicago helps rescue kids from gang environments in West Chicago. The mobile studio will give them a safe place to have a creative musical outlet where they can learn skills to write and produce music professionally. This episode guest stars Vanessa Hudgens, another Disney alum!

The next episode focuses on turning a city bus into a mobile dance studio for a community in Mexico that just lost its dance program. Renner gets choked up about the wonderment of kids as we see clips from one of his first performances. He dances around a stage as The Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz. Two-time Latin GRAMMY Award-Winner Sebastián Yatra guest stars!

The third episode guest stars Renner’s Avengers co-star Anthony Mackie, and they reference an “Avengers family chat!”

This time for Renner’s hometown, Reno, Nevada, the team endeavors to transform a shuttle bus into a mobile recreation center.

Renner loved to build since he was a kid and now channels that passion into repurposing vehicles like firetrucks, vans, buses, and more!

Based on the intro’s map of four geographical areas, Rennervations‘ next episode should focus on delivering a newly renovated vehicle to a community in Rajasthan, India.

About Lana Porter

Lana has never lost a Disney Trivia night. Maybe it’s the hundreds of times she’s been to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, her love for Disney’s ’90’s era hand-animated musicals, or the fact that she’s often likened to cartoon characters, but Disney and its magic have a special place in her heart. Her favorite Disney experiences include the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, eating Mickey Bars on the PeopleMover, and crying during the Magic Kingdom fireworks show. One day she hopes to be chosen as the rebel spy on Star Tours. When Lana isn’t Park Hopping, she’s at home reading books of all topics, watching her favs on Disney+, or snuggling her two cats, which she swears are not named after Disney characters. She loves surprising people with her knowledge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but admits she is still catching up with Star Wars. She is happy to combine her excitement for writing with her love for Disney-style storytelling and share what she can with the world!
