A new year is just a couple of weeks away, which means a brand-new year to celebrate all things Disney! That means more trips to the theme parks, more incredible Disney merchandise, mouthwatering Disney snacks, and stunning Disney shows. And there will be no better place to celebrate all these magical happenings than at the Disneyland Resort.
Right now, Disneyland is celebrating the holiday season with events like Festival of the Holidays and shows like Believe… In Holiday Magic!. But when 2024 rolls around, a ton of exciting changes will be heading down Main Street, U.S.A.
Let’s start with the much-loved Mickey’s Mix Magic Fireworks show. The show first premiered in January 2019 as part of Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday celebration. It combined amazing projections on the buildings down Main Street with Disney’s classic fireworks. The show proved to be incredibly popular, and has returned several times throughout this year.
This go-around, Mickey’s Mix Magic will show nightly at Disneyland (weather permitting) from January 8 through March. Then, it will have a mini-run from April 15 through April 25.

Then, on February 2, which is when Disneyland’s wildly popular — and relatively new — Magic Happens parade will return. Magic Happens first made its debut at Disneyland Park in 2020. Unfortunately, it was just weeks before Disneyland and Disney California Adventure were forced to shut down for more than a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It finally returned in 2023 and drew massive crowds until it was replaced by the Christmas Fantasy parade.

Next up, we have the unmatched fireworks show, Wondrous Journeys. The moving show was created to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of The Walt Disney Company and might just be Disney’s best fireworks show to date. The gorgeous music, stunning projections, and fireworks are sure to give you goosebumps (and maybe even get a little misty-eyed).
Wondrous Journeys will return to the skies above Sleeping Beauty Castle from March 22 through April 14.

Finally, we have the return of another uber-popular fireworks show, Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular. Together Forever first premiered in 2018 as part of Disneyland’s Pixar Fest. The celebration will be returning to the parks this summer, so Disney decided to bring back the fantastic show. You can celebrate your favorite Pixar characters beginning April 26 and all the way through August 4.
And, as previously announced, the iconic show, Fantasmic!, will return to Disneyland after a year-long hiatus. Fantasmic! was forced to shut down in late April 2023, after a large fire destroyed Maleficent’s animatronic dragon. The show has been replaced by a jazz band and a jazz water show, but Fantasmic! will return on May 24.
