Talented on-screen actor and all-around internet favorite, Pedro Pascal, quickly became the universe’s sweetheart after starring in big hit show after big hit show. Fans will recognize him from content such as Game of Thrones and The Last of Us, but the Star Wars fandom knows him best as Din Djarin, none other than The Mandalorian.

After watching Pedro Pascal collect red-carpet appearances, fans noticed a pattern in his body language from photo to photo. Pedro assumed a similar pose for photos long before he became the keeper of Baby Yoda, and even still after starring with Nicholas Cage in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022).
Take a look at that red carpet photo from the New York City Premiere of Massive Talent. Notice anything?
While the glasses, disheveled look, and facial hair are totally on brand for Pedro, fans started to wonder why he frequently posed with his hand over his solar plexus. At first, it looks like a variation on a Napoleon Bonaparte “hand in jacket” kind of pose – but, let’s be honest, that’s not really a vibe.
Turns out Pedro Pascal’s motivation is way more wholesome than just striking a pose for the paparazzi at an event. His co-star on HBO’s The Last of Us, Bella Ramsey, noticed this gesture during a recent event for the show and playfully mimicked him.
After asking Ramsey if they knew why posed this way, Pascal humbly explained, “My anxiety’s right there.” That’s right people – superstar Pedro Pascal, deemed “daddy” by fanatics on social media, and Star Wars bounty hunter still gets nervous. No matter how many press events he does, he still is just a regular guy who seems to be in it for the work and not for the fame.
Could we love him anymore? Relatable celebrities really are the best.
