As the summer sets to a close, Disney fans are gearing up for their favorite times of the year. Fall, Halloween specifically, brings a truckload of fun experiences to Disney Parks. From spooktacular merchandise to beautiful Park decor (not to mention cooler temperatures), Halloween at Disney is a must-do for many Disney fans. Halloween events at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort remain some of the most coveted ticket items and for a good reason. These hard-ticket parties are a blast! Experiencing Disney during Halloween not only gives Guests an exclusive look at the Parks in an entirely new and not-so-scary way, but it also is the perfect way to kick off the most wonderful time of year (still talking about Halloween, Christmas can wait its turn). Disneyland’s California Adventure Oogi Boogie Bash is one of the premier events where Guests can get spooky!

Disney released tickets for this highly sought-after event only a few days ago. Fans reported waiting online for hours in hopes of a chance to snag their Oogie Boogie Bash tickets. However, some fans waited in vain as Disneyland promptly stopped ticket sales. Instead of securing tickets for Oogi Boogie Bash, Guests were met with this message via the ticket page:
“We are aware of a technical issue with Oogie Boogie Bash ticket sales, which have been temporarily paused. Teams are working to find a resolution as quickly as possible. We will update the website when we know more. Please be advised that call center wait times are heavily impacted currently.”
Guests were distraught to say the least when tickets sales to the Disneyland California Adventure event caused Disney’s system to fail. Many were left wondering if they’d get another shot at acquiring tickets this year! It seems that those who didn’t gain access to this specially ticketed event can sigh relief as, according to Scott Gustin on Twitter, Disneyland will resume Oogie Boogie Bash ticket sales on July 11 by 9 am Pacific Standard Time.

This is fantastic news, as many could not secure their purchases for Disneyland and California Adventure’s primary Halloween event. We can only hope that Disney could figure out what caused the technical difficulties they experienced when standard tickets were available the first time around.

Tips for Securing Tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash
There is little you can do to ensure that you’re going to get a ticket if Disney’s systems struggle like last time. The best advice we have is to be patient. Many Guests reported being online in the queue for hours before being about to buy their tickets. We also suggest logging on and being ready to go early somewhere with a very secure internet connection. Ensuring that there are no technical difficulties on your end will go a long way in determining your ticket-purchasing experience. Don’t be surprised if Disney’s systems run a little slower. Oogie Boogie Bash is a top-rated event, and a lot of people will be online trying to secure tickets.
