Oogie Boogie Bash is one of the most coveted ticketed events offered by Disney Parks, and it’s often a mad rush to purchase your spot at one of these Halloween parties. Those with special access were able to buy pre-sale tickets yesterday, while the regular admission tickets went on sale today. Big fans of Disneyland’s Halloween party were in for quite a shock when sales for Oogie Boogie’s Bash abruptly stopped today.
The general public was already nervous about Oogie Boogie ticket sales as the round of pre-sales almost immediately sold out. During these Park wide special events, only Guests who have paid for the event’s special admission will be able to enter the Park. Not only do they enjoy lower wait times for classic rides, but Guests with tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash get access to Halloween exclusives inside Disneyland.
Today, Guests faced a harrowing technical difficulty when trying to buy Oogie Boogie Bash: A Disney Halloween Party general admission tickets. Here’s the heartbreaking message the Disney ticket website sent out to eager Guests:
We are aware of a technical issue with Oogie Boogie Bash ticket sales, which have been temporarily paused. Teams are working to find a resolution as quickly as possible. We will update the website when we know more. Please be advised that call center wait times are heavily impacted currently.
People are infuriated, some having waited multiple hours while others are able to hop in and buy tickets. Some complain about being in a virtual queue for over three hours and that they are afraid to refresh the page. Some found success by turning off wi-fi and using mobile data to buy the tickets instead.
Here’s the outrage:
I am from New Zealand and I woke up at 3am for this. This is the probably the only time I will ever get to experience this. I have tried everything and it’s not working. In NZ money I’m prob spending about $700 for these tickets… all I’ll say is i better get them 😡

But people are still buying! It is infuriating. It's been paused for over 2 hours while people jumped right in and bought tickets. What will they do for those of us who waited. So ridiculous!

Disneyland has made no direct comment, but it seems like an overall system error rather than a general ticket pause because some Guests have been successful.
