When it comes to visiting Walt Disney World, everybody knows that it’s an expensive venture. In fact, due to the Walt Disney Company’s latest price-gouging policies, visiting Walt Disney World is more expensive than it’s ever been.
Everything, from Disney Park tickets to Disney World Resort hotel prices to merchandise prices have been raised due to inflation and the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth requires more effort and money than ever.
So, when a Guest has a negative experience, it’s more disappointing than ever, too.

Despite these high prices, some Guests are still willing to pay extra for the most magical experiences, such as Cinderella’s Royal Table.
Cinderella’s Royal Table is easily one of the most coveted Disney experiences around, as it gives Guests the chance to dine inside Cinderella’s Castle and meet some of the most beloved Disney Princesses around.
Not only is it a Disney character dining experience, but it takes place inside Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle. As imagined, it’s a very expensive experience.

Despite the high prices, one Guest recently visited with their family and still had a less-than-magical experience. In their social media post, they talk about how they ordered their food, ate their food, and spent about two hours at Cinderella’s Royal Table.
In spite of spending nearly two hours there, they didn’t see any princesses. So, the original poster decided to ask someone about it:
Eventually, I snuck away to ask a worker if the princesses were planning to come by at some point because we had finished dinner and were given a check, and nobody had come by or asked if we’d seen the princesses. Eventually the character director came over and was honestly quite rude and mentioned something about “well we can’t break the rules”. Now, given CRT is a prepaid dining event, and each party pays the same for their experience, I found this to be an unreasonable explanation.
3 minutes later, the princesses literally lined up one by one in direct eyesight of our kid, and quickly made their rounds before scurrying away. It just felt really.. unmagical.

Although they had a negative experience, they were able to speak with a general manager who offered Lightning Lanes for Disney Princess meet-and-greets during their next visit.
But it must be said that not everyone gets a ‘next visit’ for Walt Disney World. For many, a trip to Walt Disney World is a once-in-a-lifetime event! So what would have happened in that case? We can’t say for sure.

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World and want to shell out the extra money for a princess character dining experience but want to avoid the risk of a bad experience, we advise visiting EPCOT’s Akershus Royal Banquet Hall instead.
Not only is it less expensive, but there have been less complaints as well.
