They were ROBBED!
Fans are shocked and infuriated after an iconic Disney restaurant was not awarded a Michelin Star this year. At the Michelin Star ceremony, which was held in Miami on May 11, no restaurants from Orlando, Florida, were awarded any additional stars.
Now, Disney fans are calling out Michelin and accusing them of being “biased towards Disney Adults.”
An Upset at the 2023 Michelin Star Awards
Disney’s Victoria & Albert’s did not receive a Michelin Star this year, causing quite a stir in the food industry. Located in Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort, Victoria & Albert’s is one of the most exclusive restaurants in the country, known for its fine-dining experience and elegant atmosphere.
The Michelin Guide, which has been around since 1900, is the most prestigious restaurant guide in the world. A Michelin Star is one of the highest accolades a restaurant can receive. The absence of a Michelin Star for Victoria & Albert’s has caused a conflict among food lovers and critics alike. Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides, explained that the decision was based on “high standards of culinary excellence, quality of products used, mastery of cooking techniques and flavors, the level of creativity and consistency of dishes.”
Victoria & Albert’s, however, was not completely snubbed by the Michelin Guide. It received a Michelin Plate, which recognizes restaurants that offer “good cooking.” In addition, the restaurant has consistently been awarded Forbes Travel Guide’s Five-Star rating since 2000.

Good Food Lives on at Walt Disney World Resort
While the lack of a Michelin Star at Victoria & Albert’s may be disappointing for some, it doesn’t take away from the fact that Walt Disney World Resort has an abundance of world-class restaurants that cater to food lovers from all over the world. For those looking to experience a Michelin Star restaurant on property, Capa, located at the Four Seasons Resort in Walt Disney World retained the star that it was given last year.
