New Haunted Mansion-inspired Halloween show premiering on Disney+ October 8

Beware of hitchhiking jokes! The release date for Muppets Haunted Mansion was just announced!

Calling all Muppets fans! Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo and the whole gang are back and starring in their very first Halloween-themed special!

The Muppets are gearing up for their new Halloween special, Muppets Haunted Mansion on Disney+. You can stream it beginning October 8!

Gonzo has been challenged to spend one night in the famous Haunted Mansion, and there’s no way he’s turning down a challenge.

The all-new Halloween special, which stars Gonzo, Pepe the King Prawn, and all the Muppets gang, was first announced earlier this year in May. According to What’s On Disney Plus, the new special features Gonzo in a role like no other he’s played before:

“In this new series,  the Great Gonzo – world-famous daredevil artiste, has done it all, seen it all, and survived it all. But on Halloween night, the fearless Gonzo takes on the greatest challenge of his life by spending one very daring night in the most grim-grinning place on Earth … The Haunted Mansion.”

The special will also feature lots of Disney Easter eggs, 3 all-new songs, including “Rest in Peace,” “Life Hereafter,” and “Tie the Know Tango,” celebrity cameos, and of course, lots of Muppet mayhem, including Fozzie as one of the Hitchhiking Ghosts?

And Kermit and Miss Piggy in their Halloween costumes–dressed as each other?

More Halloween fun is coming to Disney+ this month and next month, as Disney ramps up for the spookiest season of the year! Be sure to watch Muppets Haunted Mansion beginning on October 8.

And don’t forget to check out the platform’s newest Halloween addition called Hallowstream! You can find the Hallowstream line-up of spooky shows and mysterious movies here, or find it online also at the What’s On Disney Plus? website.
