Since its grand opening in 1971, Disney World has been a beacon of enchantment, drawing Guests from around the globe to experience the joy and excitement only Disney can offer. Disney World is divided into four distinct theme parks – Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney Park offers diverse experiences that cater to the young and the young at heart.
Magic Kingdom, often referred to as the crown jewel of Disney World, is a place where fairy tales come to life. Cinderella Castle stands as an iconic symbol of hope and dreams, setting the stage for classic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, TRON Lightcycle/Run, Haunted Mansion, and the timeless “it’s a small world.” Magic Kingdom includes parades, fireworks, and character meet-and-greets to create an atmosphere of pure enchantment.
EPCOT takes Disney World Guests on a journey through technology, innovation, and diverse cultures from around the world. EPCOT is in the process of building their fourth neighborhood Nature Celebration which will feature the new Moana attraction Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, which will open late 2023. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests can step into the worlds of Star Wars through the immersive Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area, join in the action-packed journey of Toy Story Land, and experience the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s golden age in Hollywood Boulevard.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the perfect blend of the magic of Disney with the wonders of the animal kingdom. Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers a unique combination of attractions, live shows, and encounters with real animals. From the thrilling Expedition Everest to the breathtaking Pandora – The World of Avatar land, Disney’s Animal Kingdom brings conservation, adventure, and fantasy to life.
With all of the exciting adventures Guests can explore while at Disney World, some Guests have started to question the layout for TRON Lightcycle / Run. In a social media post, Guests can be seen waiting in the queue for this new Disney attraction stuck out in the sun. Guests who purchased Lighting Lane did not have to suffer in the sun.
“It’s hot we know that and hopefully everyone is being safe. However I will get on Disney for this design choice for tron. Why have the queue outside in the sun with no shade?!?! Let alone why was the line this bad with a virtual queue. Would it have been so bad to extend the covering or build one over the queue?”
Guests visiting Disney World experience excitement, and unforgettable memories. However, the Florida heat can be quite intense, especially during the summer months. Guests looking to beat the Florida heat should wear lightweight, breathable clothing, stay hydrated, and take breaks throughout the day. Guests should also familiarize themself with the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
To ride TRON Lightcycle / Run, you either have to book a spot in the Virtual Queue, which drops at 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., or buy an Individual Lightning Lane Pass, which can be found on the My Disney Experience app in the Disney Genie+ section.
