One of the great things about visiting a Disney theme park is all the unique and mouthwatering food that you can find within the gates. Disney doesn’t simply serve traditional park food like pizza, chicken fingers, and burgers, although they do have those and they are delicious. But Disney parks also serve unique dishes like DOLE Whips, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, bao buns, homemade potato chips, house-made pickles, and so much more.

Disneyland Resort is no exception. Even though Walt Disney World Resort might have more dining options, certain items can only be found at “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

Guests can head into New Orleans Square and dine on a Monte Cristo Sandwich, and they can always find specialty churros throughout the year. Some of the most popular churro options include Maple Bacon and Fluffernutter, the latter of which is made with peanut butter sauce, marshmallow sauce, and chocolate chips.

While it is so much fun to walk around Disneyland and Disney California Adventure and try every scrumptious thing you can get your hands on, there are some definite downsides.

One of them is the way these foods can affect your stomach. Many guests not-so-fondly remember having to rush to the bathroom because their digestive tracts have had enough of Disney.

One guest is wondering how things have changed at Disney because guests seem to be farting more than ever. Yes, the guest noticed a change in the flatulence of other guests and took to Reddit to see if their assessment was correct.

This isn’t a joke. I know it sounds ridiculous.

My wife and I have magic keys. We come here frequently. We’ve been here since last night. We are truly shocked at the number of times we’ve smelt farts. The farts-per-hour is much higher than the average place. We flew through a fart cloud in Space Mountain. Someone lit up the monorail. We’re in the Blue Bayou right now and someone had the nerve the rip one here. And those are just a few examples.

Is there something in the food? In the water? Has anyone else noticed this?

Guests had a field day with the hilarious observation, but others made a very valid point. One thing that is a definite downside about visiting Disneyland is that there are spots where a sewage smell is almost always present.

This is definitely part of the issue. I’ve been there on days that there has been absolute clouds of sewer gas near the teacups. It’s not farts.

Most people had a lot of fun with the post, including u/BoobySlap_0506, who pointed out that it is Spring Break. That means that the parks are filled with more kids than normal.

It’s still spring break so…..kids will be stinky.

Kids are basically just a basket of farts. I know, I have one.

Then, there were those who said that farting is normal, so no one should get upset if they walk by, and it smells like someone farted. Especially because no one is going to excuse themselves to the bathroom if they just have to pass gas. The OP (original poster) said that they know they smell more than normal, but their wife even noticed an uptick in bad smells.

My wife is very tolerant of smells. She says I have a super sniffer and gets really annoyed when I complain about smells. She also said that she’s usually tolerant of farts because “it’s normal for humans”. She pointed that out and said “that’s how you know it’s really bad because I’m smelling it too”.

When visiting a Disney theme park, it is very tempting to go all out and eat all the things you don’t eat while at home. But, it’s important to remember that your body might have a hard time adjusting to all the food you are eating.

So, it might be a good idea to take a look at the menus at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney before you visit and make a plan about what you want to eat. Going overboard right at the start could result in you feeling not so great for the rest of your trip.
