From the short that started it all, Steamboat Willie (1928), to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (2006-2016), the Mickey Mouse character has been entertaining children for decades.
But the fun doesn’t stop at cartoons!
Mickey Mouse can be seen entertaining Guests in Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort alike! No matter which Disney Park you’re visiting, you’re sure to catch a glimpse of the mouse that started it all himself!
Experiencing a Mickey Mouse character meet-and-greet will show that the cartoon character has more personality than anyone gives him credit for.
Because Mickey Mouse is the official mascot of each Disney Park, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and the Walt Disney Company as a whole, the cartoon character has often acted as a blank slate to portray whatever Disney wants him to.
But watching the occasional short film starring Mickey Mouse or meeting the character while visiting a Disney Park will prove that Mickey’s more than just a friendly face.
Some Guests recently visited Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom and met Mickey and Minnie Mouse. This resulted in a super special experience that they wouldn’t soon forget:
