Shocking Revelation Made About Matthew Perry’s Drug Dealer

Earlier this month, five people were arrested in the death of actor Matthew Perry. In October 2023, the Friends star was found unconscious in his hot tube by longtime assistant Kenneth Iwasmasa. Iwamasa called 9-1-1 and reported that Perry had suffered from a “cardiac event.” Emergency services quickly responded, but they were unable to revive Mr. Perry. He was pronounced dead at just 54 years old.

Two months after his death, the toxicology report was complete, and it was determined that the actor died from the “acute effects” of ketamine, coupled with drowning, coronary artery disease, and the use of Buprenorphine, a drug used to help treat addiction.

Five months after his death, in May 2024, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration announced a joint investigation into Perry’s death. Their investigation was to determine how Mr. Perry was able to get his hands on the ketamine that killed him.

The actor had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy, but the amount in his system at the time of his death indicated that he had been getting his hands on some illegally and taking it without a doctor’s supervision.

Just three months after the investigation was launched, five people were arrested — Dr. Mark Chavez, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Erik Fleming, “Ketamine Queen” Jasveen Sangha, and Perry’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa.

Since the arrests, a lot of disturbing information has come to light about those who took advantage of Perry’s relapse and deep descent into severe addiction. Text messages between Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Dr. Mark Chavez show that they called Perry a “moron” and talked about how much money they could get out of him if they got him hooked on ketamine.

We also learned that Erik Fleming — the middleman in the entire drug operation — once directed a young Scarlett Johansson in a film called My Brother the Pig (1999).

And, if working with young children wasn’t enough, we have just learned more disturbing information about Fleming and his life before becoming entangled in Matthew Perry’s death.

In a stunning revelation, it is being reported that Fleming once ran a high-end rehab center. Even more distressing, while he was in charge, one of the patients died.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 36-year-old William Cooney was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor at Red Door, a high-end recovery center located in Bel-Air.

Those who worked at the facility told investigators that Cooney had obtained fentanyl — a highly addictive opioid — from another housemate. He was able to do so because those in charge did not closely monitor whether drugs were being brought into the rehab center.

Per THR:

When Cooney was admitted, Fleming identified himself as the Red Door’s program director to Amara Durham, a substance abuse consultant whom Cooney’s family had previously retained to work with him. Later, according to Durham, Fleming provided her with information about Cooney’s condition.

During the LAPD and DEA’s investigation, it was revealed that Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, was cooperating with investigators. She had reportedly met Perry during one of their rehab stints, and they remained friends. Mueller was reportedly the person who let them know about Fleming and his questionable rehab management.

Durham notes that her client had checked in to the facility against her advice. He had nevertheless been persuaded by his then-girlfriend, Mueller, who’d herself recently relapsed. Cooney and Mueller had spent much of the previous year living together in Beverly Hills after completing respective stints at the luxury Utah facility Cirque Lodge, well-known for its celebrity clientele, where they’d met.

Mueller reportedly had a long-standing friendship with Fleming, as well as Jasveen Sangha, the “Ketamine Queen.” Mueller had shockingly met Sangha while the two were spending time in rehab. Unfortunately, after leaving rehab, Sangha decided that there was money to be made in taking advantage of those with addiction struggles.

Erik Fleming has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine and one count of distribution of ketamine, resulting in death. He faces up to 25 years in prison.

Kenneth Iwamasa has also pled guilty and faces up to ten years in prison. Dr. Mark Chavez reportedly has a plea deal in the works and is ready to plead guilty. Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Jasveen Sangha have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them. They both face up to life in prison for their crimes.
