If you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort this week… buckle in and prepare for a wild ride.
This upcoming week is predicted to be one of the busiest weeks the Walt Disney World Resort has seen for a while. Some major events like ride openings and show premieres are going to make the Parks extra full. Magic Kingdom Park will be especially busy this week. If you are planning to visit the Parks this week, prepare for chaos… and tons of fun!
The First Week of April Means Massive Crowds at Walt Disney World Resort
It is the first week of April and things in the Park are definitely getting wild. Visiting the Parks during the busy season can be a drag for some. Times like Christmas, Halloween, and school breaks mean that the Parks can become overfilled and ridiculously packed. A full Park means longer lines for everything including rides, restaurants, bathrooms, and transportation. We know how important it is to plan ahead for crowds, which is why we warn you now that this week will be busy.
The week will kick off with the return of Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom. This nighttime spectacular is making its highly anticipated return to the Parks on Monday, April 3. Expect Magic Kingdom to be packed this day, especially around the evening time. If you are concerned that you won’t get a good view, fear not! The show is returning with brand new projections on the buildings down Main Street, U.S.A., which means there will be no bad seat in the Park.
On Tuesday, April 4, Magic Kingdom has another exciting event, the opening of the TRON Lightcycle/Run in Tomorrowland. This new coaster looks amazing, and you can expect a lot of commotion in Tomorrowland on this day. To celebrate the public opening, some TRON merchandise and a food kiosk will also be opening.
While those are the main events, you can expect the rest of the week to be busy as well. April 9 is Easter Sunday, which means that this is a holiday break for many schools. If you are visiting the Parks, be sure to come early, have a plan, and buy your Genie+ service early if that is something you are interested in. Have fun and good luck!
