Disney Makes BIG Changes to ‘Happily Ever After’

Happily Ever After returns

This isn’t the ‘Happily Ever After’ you know and love. It’s better!

Last night, Walt Disney World Resorts iconic nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After, made its big return to Cinderella Castle. The after-hours event was a special preview for Cast Members and their families and friends. Since the show’s return was announced, Disney fans have been waiting to see if any changes have been made to the fireworks show. Changes have definitely been made, and the new Happily Ever After is bigger and better than ever before.

All New Projections for Happily Ever After

Guests attending last night’s preview were in for a HUGE surprise once the show began. Disney has added a whole new element to the show where projections will line the walls of Main Street, U.S.A. The projections look gorgeous, and they also add something extra cool for Guests standing in the back of the crowd to look at. The projections make the whole area look incredibly magical and interactive, and so far Guests and Cast Members are saying they look terrific. According to Disney Parks, the new projections will feature favorite Disney characters.

Magic Bands Join the Show

Another exciting new addition to the show is its interaction with Magic Bands. Guests who have Disney Magic Bands will be thrilled to know that the bands will not interact with the Happily Ever Show. If you aren’t too entranced by the fireworks, you can watch your magic band light up and blink in synch to the music.

Last night’s Cast Member preview looked truly awesome. It was so wonderful to hear the music of Happily Ever After echoing through Magic Kingdom once again. If you want to check out the new projections and Magic Bands for yourself, the show will make its official return to Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort on April 3rd, 2023.

The rest of the projections, music, and fireworks all seem to be staying the same at the theme Park!
