Welcome Back Happily Ever After

Many Disney fans LOVE Happily Ever After. This fireworks show first premiered on May 12, 2017. The show, which replaced ‘Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams,’ features gorgeous visuals, stunning fireworks, and an emotional song sung by Jordan Fisher and Angie K.

Back at the Walt Disney Company’s 2022 D23 Expo, it was announced by Disney Parks Chairman, Josh D’Amaro, that Happily Ever After would be making its return to Magic Kingdom in 2023. Happily Ever After will take over for the 50th anniversary nighttime spectacular, Disney Enchantment, which is underwhelming in comparison. Fans have been asking the company to bring back Wishes or Happily Ever After for a long time, and their wishes were answered.

On April 3, 2023, Happily Ever After will make its official return to Magic Kingdom Park. Disney explains, “Well, I hope you’re “Ready to begin…” because fan-favorite nighttime spectacular “Happily Ever After” returns to Magic Kingdom Park on April 3, featuring all-new projections down Main Street, U.S.A. “Disney Enchantment” will be offered through April 2. Whether it’s your first time, or the park is your home away from home, get ready to reach out and find your happily ever after with us at Cinderella Castle soon.”

Guests Spot a Happily Ever After Test Run

As the premier date comes closer and closer, Walt Disney World Resort is gearing up to resume performances of Happily Ever After. Early in the morning on March 7, 2023, Guests staying at the Walt Disney World Resort spotted a trial run of the Nighttime Spectacular taking place. The run included full music and fireworks!

At first, Guests were confused about what was happening. It took a trained eye and ear to be able to recognize that they were showing Happily Ever After. The testing took place at around 1:30 am. Guests are reporting that the show is identical to the original, and all fireworks and music will remain the same.

Some fans are confused as to why testing is happening almost a month before the show returns. It seems that Disney is committed to making everything perfect for its return on April 3.
