A Disney bus driver reportedly found themselves at the center of a frightening situation after what appeared to be a minor traffic disagreement escalated into an alleged confrontation involving a handgun.
According to ClickOrlando, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old David Charlot after investigators said he pointed a firearm at a Walt Disney World bus driver. The incident reportedly happened Monday night on East Buena Vista Drive near Bonnet Creek Parkway.

What makes the story even more unusual is what allegedly started the confrontation — and where deputies eventually found the vehicle involved.
A Honking Horn Reportedly Started the Encounter
According to investigators, the incident began around 9 p.m. when a white Jeep was sitting at a green traffic light with a Disney bus behind it.
A witness reportedly told deputies that the Jeep didn’t move after the light changed. The Disney bus driver then honked the horn and moved closer to the vehicle.
From there, investigators say the situation escalated quickly.
According to the witness account included in the arrest affidavit, the Jeep’s driver got out and approached the Disney bus. He then allegedly returned to his vehicle, reached into the center console and retrieved a black semi-automatic handgun.
The witness told authorities that the driver pointed the weapon directly at the Disney bus driver.
After the encounter, the Jeep reportedly left the area and headed toward Disney’s Port Orleans Resort.
Deputies Track the Jeep to a Disney Resort
The person who called 911 reportedly told authorities where the Jeep had gone, giving deputies a location to investigate.
When officers arrived at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, they found a white Jeep near the lobby. Initially, the vehicle appeared to be empty.
Charlot later approached a deputy and explained that he was using the Jeep to make a DoorDash food delivery.

According to ClickOrlando, Charlot acknowledged having a handgun in the vehicle but denied pointing it at anyone. He also reportedly denied interacting with anyone during the alleged road encounter.
Investigators, however, had another source of evidence.
Disney Bus Video Becomes Important Evidence
Deputies reportedly reviewed footage captured by a camera aboard the Disney bus.
According to investigators, that video showed Charlot pointing a black handgun at the Disney bus driver before leaving the scene.
That evidence reportedly supported the witness’s version of what happened rather than Charlot’s initial account to deputies.
Authorities subsequently arrested Charlot.
According to ClickOrlando, the 25-year-old faces an aggravated assault with a firearm charge and was being held on $10,000 bond.
An arrest and criminal charge do not establish guilt, and the allegations will have to move through the legal process.
Still, the circumstances described by investigators make this an unusual and disturbing situation involving Disney transportation.

Disney buses move thousands of guests around Walt Disney World, traveling between theme parks, resort hotels and other destinations. Although guests may feel separated from the outside world once they arrive at Disney World, those buses still share roads with regular motorists, employees and delivery drivers.
In this case, investigators say something as ordinary as a honking horn at a green light turned into an alleged armed confrontation.
Fortunately, the reports provided do not indicate that the Disney bus driver or anyone else suffered physical injuries. They also don’t specify whether guests were aboard the bus when the incident occurred.
What reportedly happened afterward is much clearer.
Deputies located the Jeep at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, reviewed video from the bus and ultimately arrested the man they say was responsible.
What began as a few seconds of frustration on a Disney World roadway had suddenly become a serious criminal case.
