When it comes to vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort, there seems to be an endless amount of things to do. Between the four theme parks, Disney Springs, the two water parks — Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach — the mini-golf courses, the nearly 400 places to eat, and more, there are more than enough things to do to fill up your days. However, if you go too hard, you can burn out early into your trip.
While it may not be something everyone thinks of, taking time out of your day to relax. A great place to do that is at your Resort’s swimming pool. Each one of Disney’s numerous Resort hotels has its own signature swimming pool. At Disney’s Polynesian Village, the main swimming pool looks like a volcano. At Caribbean Beach Resort, it is designed to look like a Caribbean town called Port Royal. And at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, the swimming pool features a massive 46-foot tall Mayan pyramid that has water cascading down the front.
Guests relaxing by the Coronado Springs swimming pool recently saw something that surely made their hearts skip a beat. A young boy climbed over the barriers of the Mayan pyramid and went all the way up to the top. The young boy reached the top of the pyramid and stood up, nearly losing his balance. He turned and looked around and seems to have been startled at just how high up he was.
Thankfully, there were some grown men in the area who quickly jumped into action. One of them climbed up to the top, took the little boy in his arms, and slowly made his way back down. Water is constantly going down the pyramid, which made conditions very slippery. Other adults waited at the bottom for both the man and the young to help make sure both of them safely made their way back into the pool.
A video of the incident was also shared on TikTok by magicalwdw, which you can watch below.

At this time, we do not know how the child was able to climb up to the top of the slide without people noticing before he made it to the top. We also do not know where his parents or guardians were while he was climbing up. What we do know is that, thankfully, he was safely brought down by an adult and everyone was able to continue their day at the swimming pool.
