Planning a Resort Day at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Walt Disney World has numerous resorts for guests to choose from when it comes to where to stay during their vacation.  Coronado Springs Resort is one of the moderate resorts that guests that Disney offers.  This moderate resort recently went through refurbishment as rooms were updated and a new Gran Destino Tower was opened.  This amazing resort has so much to offer that if you stay here you will want to plan a resort day to take it all in.  Here is what you can do at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort during a full resort day.

 

1. Start the Day with Breakfast

Not all dining options are currently opened; however, guests can still grab a quick bite to eat at the Barcelona Lounge.  This lounge is located inside the beautiful Gran Destino Tower and offers quick espresso drinks, pastries and light food for breakfast.  This is a perfect way to start the morning off at the resort.

2. Shopping

Panchinto’s Gifts and Sundries is a great, quick spot for some shopping.  Featuring some specific Coronado Springs merchandise, this location also has all the classic Disney vacation gear as well.  Find some new ears, a fun shirt or grab some treats for later.

3. Three Bridges Bar & Grill

For some light bites and delicious drinks, guests will want to spend some of their resort day enjoying the new and gorgeous Three Bridges Bar and Grill.  Located in the middle of the water, this bar and grill offers amazing views of Lago Dorado.  Relax here with cocktails and delicious food while enjoying the sights and sounds of the beautiful resort.

4. Pool

One of the amenities you will want to take advantage of during your resort day is the pool.  The Dig Site is Coronado’s main pool area and offers great entertainment for kids and adults alike.  With a beautiful pyramid and cascading waterfall, this is a gorgeous area to take in and relax. Everyone will love trips down the spitting Jaguar slide and adults can relax in the largest hot tub on property.  Also in this area is a sand volleyball court, a play area (which currently is closed) and ping pong tables.  Families can have a great time enjoying this area together for hours during their resort stay. 

5. Siestas Cantina

While you are relaxing at the pool, grab a sandwich, burger or cocktail.  This pool bar offers a variety of great lunch and snack options as well drinks making it easy to chill at the pool all afternoon.

6. Rix Sports Bar & Grill

Looking for a good meal for supper?  Head to Rix Sports Bar and Grill for some good food and drinks while catching the latest game.  Rix offers classic American food and is a quick and easy way to get dinner without having to leave the resort.  Consider taking it back to your room as well.

7. Movie Under the Stars

An evening at the resort wouldn’t be complete without watching a movie under the stars.  Guests can enjoy a Disney movie while having a treat and relaxing outside on the resort lawn.  This is a fun way to wrap up a great, relaxing day at the resort.

8. Grab a Nightcap

As you get ready to call it a night, don’t miss out on the views from the Dahlia Lounge located at the top of the Grand Destino Tower.  The views are spectacular as you can see a variety of Disney’s amazing icons.  Grab a beverage and enjoy some time taking in all the magic of Disney.

9. Take a Walk

As the lights come on and the evening sets in, take a walk around the beautiful resort.  The views from around the water and the lights from the Gran Destino Tower are breathtaking.  You won’t want to miss out on these views.

A day at Disney’s Coronado Spring Resort is a must do while staying there.  Guests will love all the amenities, the views and the relaxing atmosphere it has to offer.
