This may be the best news all day! But have we been duped?
Yesterday, we learned from Cast Member performers of Finding Nemo: The Musical that it would not be returning, against Guests’ hopes. Here’s the second part of that story:
Finding Nemo: The Musical will not be returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but a completely revamped version of the popular Broadway-style show will be unveiled next year, and we couldn’t be happier!
A reimagined “Finding Nemo” musical is coming to to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in 2022! Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more details: https://t.co/oXFPzpvhrC pic.twitter.com/2DGnUAvpiH

Per Disney Parks Blog several minutes ago, the new musical is still in the very early stages of development. But we do know that it will include new story material about the clownfish, his overprotective papa and the friendships that bloom among our underwater pals.
The new musical will include some of Guests’ most favorite songs from the original version of Finding Nemo: The Musical, such as “Big Blue World” and “Go with the Flow.”
Pixar’s Finding Nemo hit theaters in 2003 and was an instant hit with kids and kids at heart. The story was soon made into a musical at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and in 2016, Pixar’s newest underwater tale of a lost friend trying to find her way home–Finding Dory–was released.
Fans of Nemo can also find him and his pals at the attraction inside The Seas with Nemo and Friends pavilion at EPCOT and even meet some of his friends in the aquariums at Sea Base inside the pavilion as well.
We are excited about the new take on an old favorite, and we can’t wait to see what Disney World’s Live Entertainment Team comes up with for the remake of Nemo’s story that we usually catch at Theater in the Wild at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
