EPCOT Holiday storytellers are returning for the 2021 season!

If you’re one of those who begins making holiday plans the first week of autumn, we’ve got some amazing news for you!

Disney has just announced that EPCOT is bringing back holiday storytellers this year to take part in EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays (the best festival at EPCOT all year long, in my humble opinion).

Storytellers at the International Festival of the Holidays bring a unique holiday joy to the event.

Not to be confused with the narrators of the Christmas Story during the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, the holiday storytellers are those who can be found at each of the 11 countries on the World Showcase: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada.

The storytellers wear vibrant costumes and tell stories about holiday celebrations that take place and traditions that are observed all across the globe, and their stories are amazing! The storytellers appear at different times throughout the day during the International Festival of the Holidays. Their times are usually listed in the EPCOT guide or near the entrances to each country’s pavilion.

In the past, Guests visiting the France pavilion have had the chance to meet Pere Noel and hear him share stories about the French celebrations and traditions observed for “Noel,” French for “Christmas.”

Guests in the United Kingdom pavilion have met Father Christmas and listened to his glad tidings and stories about the letters children write to him during this festive time of the year!

There’s so much to see, do and experience at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays. The festival runs from November 26 through December 30, 2021.

Try delicious holidays foods and treats at the festival’s Holiday Kitchens, hear beautiful holiday music, learn about different holiday customs and traditions in other countries and truly revel in savoring the moments during the most wonderful time of the year.

Have you ever been to the International Festival of the Holidays? What do you look forward to experiencing the most?

Becky's from the Lone Star State and has been writing since she was 10 and encountered her first Disney Park when she was 11. It was love at first Main Street Electrical Parade. Joy is blank lined journals, 0.7 mm pens, and all things Walt, Woody and Buzz, PIXAR, Imagineering, Sleeping Beauty (make it blue!), Disney Parks history and EPCOT. At Disney World, you'll find her croonin' with the birdies at the Enchanted Tiki Room or hangin' with Woody and the gang at Toy Story Land. If you can dream, you really can do it!
