We recently reported that Hollywood Vampires, a supergroup that includes Johnny Depp, canceled their most recent performances. The last-minute cancellations have set the rumor mill ablaze, and concerned Depp fans everywhere have been left wondering if he is OK.
Johnny Depp: Health In Crisis
Despite the multiple cancellations and unofficial statements confirming drug use, the band has remained silent about the cancellations. The show in Budapest was canceled due to Depp being found unconscious, suspected substance abuse is the culprit, though nothing has been officially confirmed. The very next night, the band’s show in Slovakia was canceled. This time the band said it was due to facility issues. They announced that they arrived to find the venue in poor condition and under construction and therefore had to cancel. Many wondered if this was just a cover story for Depp’s apparent substance abuse crisis. He has been spotted drinking heavily at many spots along the way during the tour.

Sources close to Johnny Depp say that the actor-turned-rocker has been suffering since the very public defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp has shunned the public eye and has seemingly quit acting entirely. Though the star was once a household name as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, he has since hung up the pirate hat…but maybe not the rum.
The Show Must Go On
The fate of the band’s world tour seemed to be in jeopardy. However, the show must go on, and professionals that they are, they once again took the stage. Three nights ago, the band successfully played their show in Poland, and the very next night, they rocked late into the night in Germany.

The band has a small break before the next leg of the tour, which sees the shock rock superstars come to the United States. Their next show is set to be in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 28. Then they head to Manchester, New Hampshire, before ending the tour on July 30 in Bethel, New York.

As of now, there are no plans to cancel the remaining shows, and the tour is set to continue as planned. Though after the band wraps up, who knows what the future has planned for the prolific character actor who has captured hearts as Jack Sparrow, Willy Wonka, Edward Scissorhands, Gellert Grindelwald, and Sweeny Todd. Though many studios, including Disney, dropped him after Amber Heard alleged spousal abuse, fans hold out hope that the actor will return to the silver screen.
