But Disney wasn’t done there; Haunted Mansion also featured another Hollywood Horror icon.
“Haunted Mansion” Is Filled With Cameos
Fans of Wynona Ryder were pleased to see her pop up in the new Haunted Mansion movie, which debuted in theatres on July 28, 2023. Whisperings that the actress would be involved in the film have been circling for quite a while, which did lessen the effect of her cameo. In the film, Ryder played the tour guide, a small character who showed up near the end of the movie.
For director Justin Simien, his vision for the Haunted Mansion film was to fill it will tons of iconic actors. He said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter;
“Carmen Cuba, the casting director, myself and the studio were really enamored with this idea of plugging in classic faces in these cameo roles, and it just felt so right that she’d be the tour guide at the end of the movie.”

There is no denying that Winona Ryder is currently a busy actress. Right now, she is starring in the mega-hit Netflix series Stranger Things, a show that gave her career a powerful resurgence. In order to get Ryder to do the film, Simien says;
