If there is one thing fans should know about Disney, it is that the theme parks and resorts are constantly in a state of evolution. Since the beginning, Disney has always been known for introducing new and exciting attractions and offerings to their destinations.
However, it isn’t just the new offerings that cause construction for Disney. Renovations and repairs are also an essential part of keeping Disney running smoothly.
A prominent Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is experiencing a significant closure of its own.
Disney Resort Hotel Shuts Down Area for Winter Months
What began in January 2024 has led to exciting developments at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. As part of the dedication to providing an outstanding guest experience, the Fuentes del Morro Pool has been temporarily closed for routine maintenance.
While this has meant some adjustments to guests’ vacation plans, rest assured that the closure is necessary to ensure that the pool remains in top-notch condition for all future guests to enjoy.
During this maintenance period, guests have seen and heard some construction work during daytime hours. However, Disney ensures guests that every effort is made to minimize any inconveniences and ensure that each stay is as enjoyable as possible.
Disney understands the importance of maintaining a peaceful and relaxing environment for its guests and will strive to make this construction as painless as possible.

It wasn’t too long ago that Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort was also impacted by a temporary Disney Skyliner closer in mid-January for refurbishment.
When Will Fuentes del Morro Pool Open?
When checking in with Disney on March 14, 2024, we were informed by Disney Cast Members that the pool is still closed, with no reopening date announced just yet. Disney’s website reads:
“From January 2024 through late March 2024, the Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. During this time, Guests are welcome to swim in any of the 5 leisure pools at this Disney Resort hotel.”
A Necessary Pause
While this pause is certainly not ideal, it is absolutely necessary to keep the Disney Resort hotels at the standard that they are known to be at. Hopefully, this closure will end soon, and guests can get back to enjoying this gorgeous resort in all its glory.
