Jack Black has come a long way since his early days with Tenacious D. Although he still performs regularly with the band, Black has become a mainstay in Hollywood. His musical prowess, combined with a quirky comedic sense, has led him down a rather successful path, although it’s one that really hasn’t crossed with Disney yet! However, that hasn’t stopped the Kung-Fu Panda star from highlighting his vocal talents in plenty of other family-friendly entertainment. Most recently, Jack Black played the role of Boswer in Warner Bros Super Mario Movie alongside Chris Pratt and others. Black has also made a name for himself with Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, starring in the last two Jumanji films, and he’s helped bring some of our favorite creepy stories to life in Goosebumps.

Although Jack Black hasn’t appeared in any form of Disney animation, that doesn’t mean he’s a stranger to the company entirely. The Tropic Thunder star appeared with Lizzo in season 3 of The Mandalorian. Black is a fan-favorite who seems to not only enjoy the spotlight, but he embraces it. As he doesn’t necessarily fit the typical image set forth by Hollywood, fans adore Jack Black for being unapologetically who he is. The approach has worked for the Nacho Libre star, culminating in a solid following of fans who adore anything the funny man does.

Since the School of Rock frontman hasn’t actually been cast by Disney, it’s difficult to imagine a live-action role that would work for Jack Black. Although he’s a very talented vocalist and seems as if he’d fit right in amongst Disney’s constant attempts at remakes, it’s challenging to find a role where he could really be who he is now. Maybe one of the Vikings from Tangled could work? Either way, this hasn’t stopped fans from picturing what would happen if Jack Black took on a Disney role, but not like you think. Apparently we aren’t alone, as the video has garned hundreds of thousands of views online so far. At some point The Polka King star will certainly come across the video, and we can’t wait to get his reponse. Jack Black has been vocal about the use of AI and how it threatens creativity, claiming that he is team “humanity,” so his reaction to this form of expression will probably be gold! I don’t really understand how AI works, but this is certainly what it was designed to do. If I were to imagine Jack Black as Rapunzel, this is exactly what I’d imagine.
