Explore Disney World’s Best BBQ With Big Moe Cason

Earlier this summer, we told you that celebrity Chef Big Moe Cason was coming to Disney World! During his visit, he took a break from his hit show World of Adventure with Big Moe Cason (now streaming on Disney+) and went on a “Cooking With Soul” tour with his daughter Montgomery to experience the best BBQ Walt Disney World has to offer.

Throughout their visit, they dropped by EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney Springs to see what exciting and flavorful dishes they could find. Along the way, they discovered a variety of BBQ styles and even plant-based options for BBQ fans!

First stop? EPCOT! Big Moe explored the World Showcase and, of course, tried the Park’s now iconic BBQ joint Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue. This restaurant features a taste of American BBQ and showcases the distinct regional flavors from across the country. Here you’ll find mouthwatering options like the Memphis Dry-rub Pork Ribs and the tangy signature flavor of Carolina-style sauce. Regal Eagle Chef Conrad and Big Moe Cason sat down together and discussed their favorite smoking techniques while Moe tried some of the delicious BBQ dishes available at this smokehouse.

Next, he ventured over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park with his daughter to see how Flame Tree Barbecue cooks with soul. The pair tried some of Flame Tree’s incredible options, like the Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork. They quickly learned why this spot is a must-try. This open-air spot features some of Animal Kingdom’s best foods and most incredible views.

Lastly, over at Disney Springs, they found Local Green Orlando Food Truck, a food truck with multiple eats that light up your palate with a combination of fresh flavors and vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian options, including the BBQ Jackfruit dish. This is an excellent option for anyone who longs for BBQ’s classic smokey sweet-heat flavor without the meat.

As far as advice for aspiring pit-masters, Big Moe had this to say, “Stay committed to who you are and your craft. Learn your craft and have an open mind to getting better. Truly believe in what you’re doing.” For more on their visit, check out Disney’s video below:
