Disney Removes Important Piece of Disney History

The End of an Era?
Such inspiring words truly embody the essence of EPCOT’s core mission. Unfortunately, the plaque has recently gone missing from Walt Disney World Resort. Guests visiting the park have shared footage online of the empty flowerbed where the plaque once stood.

This news comes at the same time that fans are grieving the closure announcement of the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade at Magic Kingdom Park. The attraction, which was also an opening-day offering, will close this summer to be transformed into Disney Vacation Club lounge.
For now, the fate of this EPCOT plaque remains unknown. Many fans predict that a renovation will likely be on the way, with perhaps updated signage and a logo being added. It is certain that fans will feel relieved when it is returned to its rightful place in the flowerbed at EPCOT.
