Epcot International Food & Wine Festival- Festival Welcome Center

The place where it all begins for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is the Festival Welcome Center. It is open daily from 9:00am until the park closes. It is located near Future World, between Mission: SPACE and the Universe of Energy Pavilion. The Welcome Center is where you can pick up your Marketplace Discovery Passport, which will be your guide around the world at the Festival. Special events take place at the welcome center all day long. Some of the things that you might find include celebrity meet and greets, book and bottle signings, cooking demonstrations and more. There are specialty shops and those of age can sample at the Festival Center Wine Shop. You can also attend a taste seminar or grab a meal at the Intermissions Café Hosted by Kobrand™.

The Festival Welcome Center is also where several of the special events are held. Here you will find the Authentic Taste Seminars Hosted by Driscoll’s® Only The Finest Berries™ and the Chocolate Experience: From the Bean to the Bar Hosted by Ghirardelli® Chocolate Company. The popular Home Entertaining Seminars Hosted by HGTV are also held at the Welcome center. The 30 minute seminars are hosted by celebrity designers and take place at the Vineyard Stage.

About PaulaK

I grew up in Western Massachusetts. When I was nine my family went to Disneyland and I was hooked. I grew up, attended New England College in Henniker, NH and eventually moved to Virginia. I worked as a disc jockey, married and became a full time mom when our daughter was born. Fast forward several years. In 2010 we moved to Central Florida and my Disney obsession grew. I now work as a freelance writer and spend my spare time in the parks. Under the name Paula Brown I penned the novels Dream Wanderers and The Coffee Cruiser. I also am a co-author of Dining at Walt Disney World: The Definitive Guide. I'm obsessed with Star Wars, so this is a good time to live in Central Florida. I've been a vegetarian for well over a decade, a choice that my daughter eventually made as well. While my husband still hasn't joined us fully he has given up most meats except for seafood. I was relieved to find that vegetarian dining is not difficult at Walt Disney World.
