Don’t mess with Disney fans!
Every year, thousands of Disney enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the Oogie Boogie Bash, an exciting event held at Disney California Adventure Park. This Halloween party has become one of the most popular attractions for Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort during the Halloween season. Unfortunately, the high demand for Oogie Boogie Bash tickets has led to the rise of ticket scalpers, tarnishing the magical Halloween time experience for many fans. It seems to fans that Disney is doing very little to prevent ticket scalpers or provide repercussions for their actions.
Now, angry fans are taking matters into their own hands.
Oogie Boogie Bash Overrun With Ticket Scalpers
The Oogie Boogie Bash, named after the infamous villain from The Nightmare Before Christmas, is a spooktacular event filled with thrilling entertainment and exclusive experiences. This separately-ticketed Halloween party takes place on select nights throughout the Halloween season. The event features things like the Frightfully Fun Parade, Villains Grove, and Treat Trails, which are not normally seen in the Parks.
Due to the popularity of this event, fans were prepared to wait all day to purchase tickets yesterday, July 11. After numerous issues on Disney’s end, thousands of fans are left disappointed and ticketless. To make matters worse, fans were able to find numerous eBay listings for Disney Park event tickets, proving that scalpers were able to secure tickets instead of fans.
Scalpers Demand Thousands of Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets
Right now, numerous eBay listings are selling Oogie Boogie Bash tickets for hundreds, even thousands of dollars! Fans are infuriated by this and are feeling very frustrated that Disney didn’t do more to prevent this from happening.
Now, fans are taking matters into their own hands by personally reporting these resellers to eBay.
Hundreds of disillusioned fans are doing everything they can to stop these resellers from profiting off of these tickets. Others are going as far as to message direct insults to the Oogie Boogie Bash ticket scalpers.
It is fascinating to see this movement happening in real-time. It is clear to fans that Disney is not the advocate to their fans that they need to be. If Disney doesn’t do anything to stop theme park event ticket scalpers and resellers, the fans sure will!
