Don’t Miss These 6 Amazing Themed Restaurants at Walt Disney World

When I leave home for my magical Disney vacation, I look forward to so many things; the escape from reality, the fun and entertainment and the special bonding that we have on our vacations. As the self-proclaimed master planner of our Disney trips, I try to find the unique and highly themed restaurants for my family to enjoy.   There are plenty of restaurants that are simply amazing at Disney, from a quick service spot like Flame Tree Barbeque at Animal Kingdom to the AAA 5 diamond rated Victoria and Albert’s at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. When my nephews visit, I try to take them to the places that they think are awesome, making their Aunt “magical.” And, as my Dad always says, “Don’t you dare take me to a place I can go to when I am at home!” So, here are 6 amazing restaurants that have a bit of Disney magic and that you won’t find “back home!”

6. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant @ Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to dine in a pink Cadillac, under the stars at the drive in movie, you have to check out this fun spot! Lit by the stars and the taillights of classic cars, you will actual sit inside of the car or a picnic table while watching campy clips on the giant screens. This one will bring back memories, that’s for sure!

5. T-Rex @ Disney Springs

If you are a fan of the Rainforest Café, you will love T-Rex! Following the popular design of Rainforest Café, T-Rex has dinosaurs coming to life while you eat! You will experience a meteor shower that will really get those dinos screaming! There are also beautiful fish tanks and an incredible ice cave to enjoy while there! Step back into time and dine here with portions big enough for a mega mouth!

4. 50’s Prime Time Café @ Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If you ever wanted to share the experience of a 1950’s style diner with your family, this is a totally unique and fun spot at Hollywood Studios. Servers are encouraged to take on a role of a bossy family member that certainly won’t allow you to enjoy dessert without licking your plate clean! Along with some reminders to keep your elbows off the table, you’ll enjoy this blast to the past. The items on this menu will make you feel right at home.

3. Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue @ Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground

If singing along with the show is your idea of a wonderful dinner, you will love stomping on the floor, twirling your napkin in the air and keeping the beat with your washboard and spoon along with the talented performers! This musical dinner show has been a fan favorite since 1974 and has had over 10 million guests in attendance. With all you can eat Fried Chicken and BBQ ribs, home-style sides and beer, wine and sangria included, your whole family will love this interactive, high energy show!

2. Chef Mickey’s @ Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Anytime I can have dinner with the fab 5, I accept! This wildly popular spot has been a family favorite for many years and for good reason! Not only is the atmosphere excellent, with the characters walking around and monorails driving by, but the food is good and the dessert selection is probably the best of the buffets at Disney World. You’ll enjoy spice rubbed carved beef, oven roasted turkey, BBQ pork ribs and a really tasty salmon!

1. Be Our Guest @ Magic Kingdom

If you have always dreamed about eating in a castle, you have to check out Be Our Guest. No, it’s not Cinderella’s Castle, but I happen to like this experience more! With 3 themed rooms, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported into Beauty and the Beast! Serving all three meal periods, you will love your time in Beast’s enchanted home. If you dine for dinner, you’ll even get a chance to meet the master of the house! Try the grey stuff!
