Magic Kingdom is so chalk full of detail and fun that it’s sometimes hard to narrow down what to do! But there are certain things that you just HAVE to do when enjoying the day at this magical park. Here are 6 attractions that you must hit at the Magic Kingdom:
6. Philharmagic
Philharmagic is usually my family’s first stop when we get to Magic Kingdom, after the popcorn of course! This is a super cute movie attraction that follows the adventures of Donald after he steals Mickey’s sorcerer hat. Through 3D technology and scents and music, the audience gets to go on this journey, too. You flit through The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and more! This is a great attraction to cool off in the AC and enjoy some classic music.
5. Pirates of the Caribbean
Yo ho, yo ho, a classic ride for me! Pirates is always a must hit for me simply because it’s tradition at this point. This is a great ride with lots of nostalgia. Plus the little additions from the newer movies keep things fresh and fun. This ride is hit or miss in terms of wait time, but it generally goes by pretty fast. There’s a rumor that the ride hand side line is quicker, but I have no idea how accurate that is. Either way, this ride is always fun, nostalgic, and good for a smile.
4. Haunted Mansion
Another classic. Haunted Mansion is a ride to get sucked into the theming. I love it for it’s classic feel and the cast members out front. This is a must do if you want to get swept up in the attraction. The cast members pretend to hate you and their lives and the inside is just as chilling as their personalities. Haunted Mansion is a must hit for me because, much like Pirates, it’s a ride we always do. And I don’t ever see that changing.

3. Splash Mountain
Here’s a must hit especially for those scorching hot Florida days. Even if you’re not a big drop kind of person, everyone’s gotta try this out at least once. And chances are, you’ll go on it again anyway. The inside of this attraction is absolutely adorable – and the songs will get stuck in your head, guaranteed. The real fun comes at the end of the ride when your log plummets to the briar patch, usually soaking you!
2. Space Mountain
Every trip to the Magic Kingdom must include a visit to Tomorrowland! And, as is pretty commonly accepted, one of the biggest draws to this part of the park is Space Mountain. Its futuristic, white shell is iconic. Space Mountain is one Disney’s most popular attractions and one of the best rollercoasters in the parks. This is a must hit for the rollercoaster junkies and for those who want a classic reminder.
1. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Magic Kingdom’s newest coaster is a must hit for many reasons! First, it’s new, so that’s a plus. It’s bright and shiny and has really cool technology that hasn’t been done on a Disney ride before. Second, it’s a moderate rollercoaster, comparable to Thunder Mountain Railroad. It’s not too much for little kids, but is still really fun for adults. It’s short and sweet, much like myself. The line, on the other hand, does tend to be a bit of a bear. But this ride is definitely worth it!
