New Animal Kingdom Land Comes to Life

Last year at Destination D23, it was revealed that the area that is currently Dinoland USA will be transformed into a Tropical Americas-themed land. This development will be a huge part of Disney’s mission to revitalize Disney Animal Kingdom Park. While many parts of the new land have not been confirmed or revealed, early concept art implied that Indiana Jones and Encanto would be taking center stage for this area.

Earlier today, Walt Disney Imagineering revealed some images of the 3D models they are using to help develop the land. These images provide significant insight into what we can expect down the line. This exclusive preview showcases the meticulous planning and innovative design techniques employed by the Imagineers to bring to life the vibrant and immersive environment inspired by the tropical regions of the Americas within the beloved park. The intricate details of these models hint at the rich tapestry of experiences that visitors can look forward to, promising a captivating journey through the diverse landscapes and cultures of the Tropical Americas within Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.

An Exciting Future for Animal Kingdom

As one of the four incredible theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park’s future seems to be in good hands. After today’s announcement about the expansion of Magic Kingdom Park, it has become clear that big things are on the way for the Resort as a whole.

While there is no clear timeline for this project, it seems that things are underway and should begin to start moving down the production pipeline soon. While many fans are sad to see Dinoland USA go, this new Walt Disney Imagineering project does seem like an exciting addition to the park and the Disney Resort as a whole.

  1. I was NOT happy that Tropical Americas-themed land is replacing DinoLand USA and Indiana Jones and Encanto do NOT fit into Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park! Dinosaurs are NOT monsters, they’re animals. Disney should NOT make dinosaurs go extinct forever and Disney Imagineers better NOT duplicate either Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye or Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull because that would be a BAD idea! It should be featured DINOSAURS for the new Indiana Jones ride, for crying out loud. Without dinosaurs at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, I will never return to Walt Disney World again!
