The most magical place on Earth turned gloomy earlier today as guests had to be evacuated from a normally joyous and whimsical Disney Park. Guests were surprised as unhappy Cast Members suddenly turned on them and created a blockade on Main Street.
Some guests were forced back out of the entrance gates for safety reasons, while others had to be relocated to other accessible areas of the Park. The hustle and bustle of Main Street was squashed.
Disney Cast Members Demand Humanity
Rumblings of a massive worker’s strike have plagued Disneyland Paris for months as Cast Members struggled to negotiate with higher-ups in The Walt Disney Company. Apparently, the employee conditions of Disneyland Paris Cast Members are far less magical than the daily magic they create for Park Guests.
They want better working conditions. They want higher pay. And they aren’t planning on rolling over. So far, the strike has already resulted in the cancellation of normally scheduled Disney offerings like the “Dream… and Shine Brighter” Parade. Cast members literally formed a wall and blocked the route it would have taken.

French Citizens have also actively protested the retirement age increase from 62 to 64, leading unions to call for workers to strike. Usually, fierce upholders of Disney magic and integrity, Cast Members decided they could be ignored no longer.

Take a look at the blockade image posted by DLP Report on Twitter:
The entire ordeal lasted just over an hour and Cast Members peacefully left the Park without further incident. Though Park Guests were obviously shaken by the demonstration, Disneyland Paris quickly resumed business as usual. “Dream… and Shine Brighter” went on for its performance at 12:25.
Though Disneyland was quick to recover from the incident in order to get things back up and running, the angry Cast Members certainly gained enough visibility to help their cause.
