Four Different Disney Parks, Four Different Nighttime Spectaculars
Sometimes, Animal Kingdom’s Tree of Life is decorated with a light projection show, totally free of fireworks so the animal residents aren’t disturbed. EPCOT also hosts a light projection over Spaceship Earth.
Hollywood Studios is home to Fantasmic!, which is a dazzling mix of live actors, projections, and fireworks.
But everyone knows that Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show wears the crown.

No Contest, Magic Kingdom’s Fireworks Spectaculars Are the Clear Winner
Magic Kingdom’s nighttime spectaculars are easily the most iconic, must-see attraction in all of Walt Disney World…Which is why it’s surprising to hear that it’ll be suspended for September and nearly all of October. And yet, that’s exactly what’s happening!
From August to November, Magic Kingdom hosts a special event called Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This special event includes rare character sightings, a special event parade, seasonal treats…and a special fireworks show.

Here’s Why Disney’s Happily Ever After Fireworks Are Being Suspended
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Spectacular is one of the most iconic Magic Kingdom fireworks shows around! It’s hosted by Jack Skellington, the Mayor of Halloweentown, and includes some of the spookiest visuals over Cinderella Castle, starring beloved Disney villains.
Because this special event begins in the evening and hosts its own fireworks show, Magic Kingdom’s current fireworks show, Happily Ever After, has to be withheld on the nights of the event.

When, Exactly, Is This Happening?
Cinderella Castle’s Happily Ever After will be suspended on these upcoming dates to make room for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Spectacular:
- September 1, 4, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29
- October 1, 3, 5-6, 9-10, 12-13, 15, 17, 19-20, 22, 24, 26-27, 29, 31
- November 1
