Disney World Food Prices Rise Across All Parks, Resorts, and Disney Springs

The Annual Pass price increase was not the only thing that happened today.

Disney World also raised hundreds of food and beverage prices across all four theme parks, the resort hotels, and Disney Springs, effective October 6.

Same day. Same coordinated October repricing Disney has run for four straight years.

The Increases Everyone Will Feel at Disney World

  • Fountain beverages: $4.79 to $4.99
  • Popcorn: $5.99 to $6.29
  • Popcorn bucket refill: $2.49 to $2.79
  • Chips: $3.29 to $3.49
  • Orange juice: $5.29 to $5.59
  • Chocolate milk: $4.49 to $4.79
  • Joffrey’s regular coffee: $5.19 to $5.29

Starbucks moved too. Cold Brew $4.95 to $5.45. Tea and Refreshment $4.85 to $5.05. Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew $5.45 to $5.65. Caramel Macchiato $6.25 to $6.45.

One listing looks wrong. DOLE Whip appears at $5.99 to $5.79, which would be a price cut. That is almost certainly an error rather than Disney discounting its most popular snack on an increase day.

The Worst One Is a Kids Meal

Harambe Market at Animal Kingdom took the kids’ cheeseburger from $7.49 to $9.49.

Two dollars. Roughly 27 percent.

That is the steepest percentage increase anywhere on today’s list, and it landed on a children’s item.

Second place: the churro at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom, $5.99 to $7.49. Also, a 25 percent jump.

For comparison, the Incredi-Pass increase that dominated this morning’s coverage was 7.4 percent.

Percentages Worth Seeing

Small prices hide big percentages.

  • Harambe Market kid’s cheeseburger: about 27 percent
  • Auntie Gravity’s churro: 25 percent
  • Sci-Fi Dine-In onion rings, $11 to $13: about 18 percent
  • Jock’s Old Fashioned, $19.50 to $22: about 13 percent
  • Sunshine Seasons cheese flatbread, $11.79 to $13.29: about 13 percent
  • Columbia Harbour House trio platter, $14.29 to $15.79: about 10 percent

Family math on ‘Ohana breakfast, two adults and two kids: $16 more than yesterday. One meal.

Quick Service, Where Most People Eat

Magic Kingdom: Casey’s mini corn dogs $10.99 to $11.99. Columbia Harbour House lobster roll $18.99 to $19.99. Cosmic Ray’s chicken strips and grilled chicken sandwich each went up a dollar.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree sampler $18.99 to $19.99, ribs and chicken combo $15.99 to $16.99. Eight Spoon mac and cheese up fifty cents. Isle of Java cinnamon roll $7.49 to $7.99.

Hollywood Studios: Backlot Express chicken strips, Catalina Eddie’s chicken parmesan, and Catalina Eddie’s pepperoni pizza all up.

Disney Springs: D-Luxe Burger nuggets $8.99 to $9.49. Jock Lindsey’s sliders $17 to $18.

Resorts: Kona Cafe Tonga Toast $17.50 to $18, Polynesian Egg Platter $22 to $24. Whispering Canyon brunch skillets $27 to $28. Spyglass Grill churro waffles $11.49 to $11.99.

Three Ways to Plan Around It

Buy the resort mug. At $4.99 per fountain drink, a $22.99 refillable mug now pays for itself in under five refills. Four nights or more, and anyone drinking soda or coffee, it works.

Cut a character meal before you cut anything else. It is the largest single line item and the easiest swap for quick service without anyone feeling shorted.

Budget per day, not per item. No single increase here is shocking. Seven days times four people is where the surprise shows up.

What Held

The cheapest one-day ticket stayed at $119 for Animal Kingdom. Lightning Lane Multi Pass pricing did not change.

Entry prices protected. Nearly everything above them moved.
