Disney World is making major changes to how it operates.

Walt Disney World Resort is known as “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Disney World sees thousands of guests daily. With this amount of traffic, celebrities, and everyday guests head to the parks. Disney has recently changed its policy on third party bussinesses on Disney property.

One popular third party business is VIP tours at Disney World offer an elevated and exclusive experience for guests looking to enjoy the parks with unparalleled convenience, personalization, and access. These tours are ideal for guests who want to make the most of their Disney vacation by skipping lines, enjoying premium viewing areas for parades and shows, and receiving expert guidance throughout their visit.

Another fun thing about VIP Tours is that they are designed to cater to your preferences. Your tour guide works with you to create a customized itinerary, considering your favorite attractions, dining choices, and the pace at which you want to explore the parks.

VIP tour guides are Disney experts who can share insider tips, historical facts, and fascinating stories about the parks. They offer a wealth of information and can answer your questions, making your visit not only enjoyable but also educational. This means the Tour Guide may tell you where hidden Mickeys are placed at certain attractions.

It’s important to note that VIP tours come with an additional cost, and prices vary depending on factors like the duration of the tour and the time of year. To make the most of your investment, it’s recommended to plan ahead, communicate your interests to your tour guide, and take full advantage of the exclusive benefits and experiences offered by the VIP tour.

While these tours can vary in price, they are worth the memories and magic, at least according to many guests. Now, reporter Scott Gustin has shared that Disney is now cracking down on third-party tours.

Disney’s decision to ban guests and businesses for this is due to a rise in “unauthorized commercial activity” and rule abuses, including abuse of the Disability Access Service (DAS) program.

Third-party tours are not affiliated with Disney but are independent experts who can enhance your visit by providing valuable insights, helping you maximize your time, and customizing your experience based on your preferences. One of the most significant advantages of hiring a tour guide is their ability to help you navigate the parks efficiently. They know the best times to visit popular attractions, how to utilize Disney’s Genie and Lighting Lane system effectively, and even how to access expedited entrances for certain rides, saving you precious time and reducing wait times. While these third-party tours do not get front-of-the-line access like Disney VIP Tours, guests paying for third-party tours may purchase Lightning Lane or Disney Genie+.

In a viral TikTok, @Making Magic Kourt stiched a video about third party tours and tour guides who have been banned from Disney property. Disney banned these parties due to unauthorized business on Disney property. Her thoughts on this ban was that Disney should treat all third party businesses the same.

This example, she says, goes for live streaming guests who are getting gifts, babysitters who come to Disney property, photographers, party decorators, and others who make money while on Disney property. @Making Magic Kourt goes on to say that she wished Disney would have given a warning or heads up before jumping to a ban.

Babysitting services at Disney World offer parents the flexibility to enjoy the attractions and experiences without having to worry about the well-being of their young children. Third-party babysitters or childcare agencies may operate within or around Disney World, providing trained and vetted professionals who can entertain, supervise, and care for children while parents explore the parks or enjoy some downtime. These services often offer in-room care at Disney resorts or may accompany families within the parks.

Another third party service Disney guests use from time to time include businesses providing equipment rental services, such as stroller rentals, wheelchair rentals, or mobility scooter rentals. These services cater to the diverse needs of park guests, ensuring that everyone, regardless of age or mobility, can comfortably enjoy the Disney experience.

Have you ever used a third party business while at Walt Disney World Resort?

  1. It was pre-covid when Disney stopped letting most EVC scooter rental companies drop their scooters off at bell services. They went with a PREFERRED company and that was the only one who can leave scooters at bell services… in fact the resorts now simply have scooters from that company sitting there in reserve so you can rent one for the week.
For all other companies guests must meet the delivery person to take possession of the scooter they have rented.
So there have been changes evolving for a number of years regarding third party services.
