My VIP Tour: An Exceptional Walt Disney World Experience

Have you ever wanted to the royal treatment at Walt Disney World, but looked at the prices of the VIP tour guides offered through Disney and thought, “there is no way I can afford that?” If so, you are not alone! Luckily there is a great alternative to find that VIP experience without the Disney price tag (and with even more personalized service).

When I traveled to Walt Disney World for the Earmarked Disney Travel conference my fellow agents at LBAC Travel and I were able to experience firsthand the services of My VIP Tour. This Orlando based company offers so much more than just a guide in the parks, but let’s start with that.

When you book your park day with My VIP Tour (and by the way, they work in all 4 Disney Parks, both Universal Parks, Sea World and LEGOLAND), the service starts before you arrive. They will take care of all of your FastPass+ arrangements, any dining reservations that need to be made, and work with you to learn the must-dos for your family (and a whole lot more about your vacation style). Once your park day arrives they meet you at your resort and travel with you to the park. They ask that you plan to arrive at park opening to maximize your touring. By using your FastPass+ arrangements and a little bit of pixie dust they minimize the waits on all of the attractions that your family hopes to experience in your day.

We had a My VIP Tour guide with us at the Magic Kingdom, and because of our conference schedule we actually had limited time in the park that day. We were still able to experience all of our must-do attractions with the help of our guide. And to me it felt like a relaxed and leisurely pace. We stopped for a mid-morning break, we had a quick service lunch, and never felt rushed to get to the next attraction to fit it all in. But their service is more than just minimizing wait times. If you are a family with a stroller they will park and retrieve it for you; they will secure a quick service table for your family with all of the napkins, forks, condiments and even hand sanitizer; they act as your personal paparazzi for the day catching all of those posed and candid magical moments; at character buffets they can sit with your children while you fix your plate (or fix the child’s plate so you don’t have to); at the end of some attractions they may present your child with some extra piece of magic (for us it was our driver’s license after riding the Tomorrowland Speedway); finding a shady spot for grandparents to sit and wait while the kids ride Space Mountain; or picking up Starbucks on the way to your hotel for your morning pick-me-up. There is just so much to their service in the parks—it is like having a guide, a nanny, a personal assistant, and a magician all wrapped up in one! Their level of service for our group was impeccable and I can only imagine how convenient and easy it would make touring for a family with children.

Where My VIP Tour goes above and beyond is in the concierge service they offer while you are on vacation in Orlando. In addition to the dining and FastPass arrangements they make for you before you arrive they can also arrange airport transfers, transfers from you resort to the Disney parks, or transfers to other parks in Orlando. Anything you may need assistance with once you arrive from groceries to camera batteries, birthday cakes to family t-shirts your guide can help you out. Even on the days when you are not using their service they check in on you and can be of assistance if needed.

My VIP Tour has 7 guides that are highly trained, not only in the parks, but with classroom style training too so that they have all of the Disney tidbits to share. They are all love Disney (and the other parks) and are passionate about their jobs and making better memories for the families they serve.

So, you may ask . . . how is this different from what Disney offers? Well, the first thing is the price. Disney’s Private Premium VIP Tour ranges from $360-$500 an hour for a family with a minimum of 6 consecutive hours. My VIP Tour ranges from $120-$150 per hour for a family or group of up to 8 guests also with a 6 hour minimum. Because the Disney Premium VIP Tour is officially Disney and My VIP Tour is not associated with Walt Disney World, the Disney tour can offer a few perks that are not available to the My VIP guide. The Disney Premium VIP Tour offers special seating for some shows, parades and nighttime spectacular. My VIP Tour doesn’t have special reserved seating, but your guide can assist you with a great vantage point for parades and nighttime shows. With the Disney guide you get unlimited rides on each attraction, and with My VIP Tour they will make sure that you see everything you want once. With Disney your service ends at the park, and with My VIP they offer all of the before, during and after concierge services mentioned above.

I highly recommend My VIP Tour if you are looking for a stress-free way to enjoy the parks and make unforgettable memories for your family. If you contact them about your vacation let them know that you read about them on DisneyDining.com.

I am a long time Disney fan since I was hooked on Walt Disney World with my first trip in 1987. Since that time I’ve tried experiencing everything I can in the parks, with a total of 30 visits and counting (I’m always planning my next trip) to Walt Disney World—not to mention Disney Cruise Line and even (shhh!) Universal Orlando and Sea World. I’ve turned my Disney obsession into a profession helping others plan their magical vacations as a Dream Vacation Maker at LBAC Travel. I am a work at home mom to three wonderful boys, and each one… More »
