Reckless Disney Bus Drives Into Multiple Cars With Guests on Board

A routine bus ride at Walt Disney World Resort took an unexpected turn when a driver reportedly veered off course, leaving guests stranded in a backstage area and colliding with multiple vehicles. One guest took to social media to share the chaotic experience, claiming Disney’s response was less than magical.

Bus Ride to Magic Kingdom Goes Off the Rails

Walt Disney World Resort offers a variety of transportation options for guests staying at Disney Resort hotels, including the Monorail, Disney Skyliner, boats, and buses. While buses remain the most widely used and reliable transportation method, one group of passengers had an experience they’ll never forget.

Redditor u/AliceFaust described the shocking ordeal that unfolded on Tuesday morning while traveling from Disney’s Pop Century Resort to Magic Kingdom Park.

“Today was an awful start to our last day here,” the Disney Park guest wrote. “We got on a bus from Pop Century to MK at 8:30 in the morning. Bus driver I guess missed their turn, they never communicated what was going on with us. Forty minutes later we are in the MK Cast Parking by Disney University. They had us in an alleyway and we’re running into a work van trying to get us unstuck.”

According to the post, the driver attempted to navigate through the backstage area but ended up hitting multiple parked cars in the West Clock parking lot, an area designated for Disney cast members.

With the bus trapped in the restricted parking lot, tensions ran high.

“We had crying children and frantic parents asking to get off as no one felt safe as the driver has already hit two cars trying to navigate cast parking,” the guest recalled. “Finally got them to let us out and we flagged down a security officer who was able to contact transportation authority.”

The incident reportedly ended with Walt Disney World Resort offering all passengers a complimentary Lightning Lane pass, though the Redditor felt it was an inadequate response.

“It was just awful…and the final straw was after all that we were offered a free lightning lane to use even though most everyone there already had purchased LL for the day,” they wrote. “Just…wtf [Disney]?”

Did This Really Happen? Fans Are Skeptical

While the guest shared a photo of the bus in question, some Disney Parks fans and former cast members cast doubt on the story. Many argued that Walt Disney World Resort’s strict transportation and security protocols would have prevented such an incident.

“I worked with transpo for long enough to really doubt this story,” Redditor u/cvaska commented. “You would have to miss a whole lot of turns to get back there, let alone end up in cast parking, which does not easily connect to Disney University. The second a bus hits something: bus stops and calls coordinator/leader…The second bus makes a wrong turn: bus turns around and calls coordinator…The second it ends up in cast-only areas: Security pulls bus over.”

Despite the skepticism, the original poster stood firm on their account of what happened.

“That absolutely did not happen at all lol,” they responded. “There was no call, no report, nothing. We ended up getting security in the lot to help us get the transportation center to assist.”

Walt Disney World Resort rarely makes public statements regarding transportation incidents, and there is no official confirmation of this event.
