As Walt Disney Imagineering continues working on the retheme of Splash Mountain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, work is also going on behind the scenes.
Recently, a group of Walt Disney Imagineers visited New Orleans to gather inspiration for the new attraction and to make an exciting announcement: two award-winning artists have joined the team.

PJ Morton, a Grammy-winning musician, singer, songwriter, and producer, and Terence Blanchard, an accomplished pianist, trumpeter, and composer have been tasked with writing some music for the upcoming attraction.
While PJ Morton composes music for the new attraction, Terence Blanchard works on composing the music that will be played during the queue.

Reportedly, the music will be reminiscent of styles that were either born in New Orleans or found a home in New Orleans. Not only that, but Disney Parks Blog states that some of the “brand-new Audio-Animatronics figures will bring the invigorating sounds of New Orleans to life,” from beloved characters playing to bands of bayou critters.
PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard, who are both from New Orleans, have grown up surrounded by the unique music of the region, making them the perfect pair for this project.

At this point in time, all we know is that PJ Morton will be composing an original song for the theme park attraction, and new renditions of the iconic music from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Princess and the Frog (2009).
However, the official Disney Parks Blog has stated that more information will be shared with Guests later, so be sure to stay tuned to Disney Dining.
