Of course, Hollywood wouldn’t be Hollywood without the likes of people like Lucille Ball, Humphrey Bogart, Marlon Brando, Robin Williams, Julie Andrews, Dick Van Dyke, and so many more. And if there is one person we can’t forget about, it is the iconic actor Bill Cobbs, known for his roles in hit films like The Hudsucker Proxy (1994), The Bodyguard (1992), Ghosts of Mississippi (1996), Oz The Great and Powerful (2013), and Enough (2002).

Sadly, we have learned that Mr. Cobbs has passed away at the age of 90.

Mr. Cobbs was also part of the Disney family and is best known for playing Arthur Chaney in the beloved 1997 film Air Bud. He also starred alongside Sinbad in the 1996 film First Kid, and the grandfather in the fun musical movie, The Muppets.

Disney fans will also support this Bill Cobbs fun fact — he is the second cousin of James Baskett. Baskett is famous for his role in the controversial 1946 Disney film Song of the South.

Cobbs also starred alongside Disney Legend Dick Van Dyke in the hit film, Night at the Museum (2006). He played Reginald, one of the security guards who knows that the museum comes to life at night due to a magical tablet. However, they aren’t some innocent guards. Instead, they plan to steal the tablet, along with other valuable artifacts, so they can retire and live a life of luxury.

Wilbert Francisco Cobbs was born on June 16, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio. His mother was a domestic worker, and his father worked in construction.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Bill Cobbs’s family and friends. He will forever be fondly remembered by fans around the world.
