Disney Dining Serving up the latest Disney Eats, Treats, News, and More!
2023 is shaping up to be an exciting year at Walt Disney World Resort. With new 2023 experiences on the way and more Disney excitement we hope to see return, don’t wait to make 2023 Disney vacation plans.
While we’ve seen dining experiences such as Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park welcome back characters, the return of buffet-style dining at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and the refresh of Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort… Disney foodies are thrilled to enjoy new and old bites and sips around Walt Disney World.

We’re especially thrilled about Disney Springs’ newest restaurant, Summer House on the Lake, a restaurant owned by an independent, family-owned restaurant group known as Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants.
Summer House on the Lake will feature a California-inspired menu with “simple, sustainable ingredients.” The restaurant has proven to be a success with its flagship locations in Chicago, Illinois, and North Bethesda, Maryland.
Known for its “breezy, beach house environment,” this table-service restaurant will also feature an in-house bakery, as well as the all-important extensive wine and handcrafted cocktail list.
That “breezy, beach house” feel will easily be brought to life at Disney Springs as the restaurant is perfectly located on the Disney Springs waterfront in the West Side portion of the shopping, dining, and entertainment district.
Located directly across from the new Salt & Straw ice cream shop (near the AMC Dine-In Theater), nestled between the Disney Food Truck District and the enticing Jaleo by José Andrés Restaurant, Summer House on the Lake will be in an ideal Disney Springs location.
Now, we’re seeing the latest construction update on the new Disney Springs restaurant.
@bioreconstruct took to social media to share an aerial photo from December 18, 2022, of Summer House on the Lake’s construction progress at Disney Springs:
It looks like the large restaurant is still in the very early stages of development. We do, however, believe construction will move along quickly as Summer House on the Lake is scheduled to open in 2023.
