
As Disney continues to see increases in Annual Passes, and Universal is now making massive ticket price changes!
Disney and Universal are both popular theme parks that bring in thousands of Guests daily. Disney World has four theme parks in Florida, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Over at Disney World, Guests have two water parks called Disney’s Blizzard Beach (temporarily closed) and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. At Universal Orlando, Guests have two theme parks to explore called Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. Universal also has a water park called Volcano Bay Guest can use to beat the heat.
The biggest difference between Disney World and Universal Orlando is the theming. Disney World is known for its family-friendly, immersive experiences that transport Guests to different worlds, while Universal Orlando is known for its more thrilling, action-packed rides and attractions. However, both Resorts offer a wide range of experiences for visitors, from thrill rides to character meet-and-greets, from fine dining to quick-service options.
Disney World has recently brought back its annual passes for sale. Guests waited hours to try and get annual passes before Disney’s site failed. However, Guests are still able to purchase passes.
Over at Universal Orlando, Guests just saw a massive ticket price change. Universal may have felt the pressure due to Disney’s success in selling passes at $1,300.00
Universal has four different annual passes: Seasonal Pass, Power Pass, Preferred Pass, and Premier Pass. Each annual pass offers different deals for Guests. Guests who select the seasonal or power pass will have some blackout dates when Guests cannot head to the Park.
Guests who purchase the Preferred Pass can receive discounts on food and merchandise and have no blackout dates. Guest who purchases Premier Passes can receive discounts on all the above, but also, Guests get one free ticket to Universal’s Horror Nights and free Express Passes after 4:00 p.m.
