Disneyland Resort continues to raise prices in a major way.
Disneyland Resort is known as “The Happiest Place on Earth.” However, Guests soon may not be able to afford Disney Genie+ at the rate it is going.
Disneyland Resort has two famous theme parks that see thousands of Guests daily. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park include iconic attractions for Guests of all sizes and ages to experience the magic.
Disneyland Park includes attractions such as “it’s a small world,” Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Alice in Wonderland, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, and many more iconic attractions.
Disney California Adventure Park includes attractions Goofy’s Sky School, Incredicoaster, Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission BREAKOUT!, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Jessie’s Critter Carousel, The Little Mermaid- Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, and many more.
Disney has found a way to help crowds at Disneyland with Disney Genie +, and Lightning Lane back in 2021. These new services replaced the FastPass+ system Disney had in place previously. Disney Genie is free, but Disney Genie + comes with a cost, and somedays become pricey to add-on to Guests’ vacations. Disney Genie+’s prices can fluctuate based on what time of year Guests decide to visit.
One Guest says This is literally the fastest scam Disney has ever put on.
Guests prices are known to fluctuate due to crowds to help with crowd control.
The previous highest amount for Genie + was at Walt Disney World, and Guests were paying $29.00. This record was achieved for the third time at the Walt Disney World Resort just a few days ago. At Disneyland, Guests have seen the service reach $30 per Guest, and now, it’s back to that same price.
Prices are expected to change daily due to crowds, and with Spring Break coming, Guests knew increases were possible. However, $30.00 is a little much per person for a large group.
As a matter of fact, this means that families who attempt to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane pass will likely be paying more than $100 for one ride on an attraction, like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
