Disney Park Begins Building New Castle—This is What We’ve Been Waiting For
Disney fans have something extraordinary to look forward to! The highly anticipated World of Frozen land at Disneyland Paris has officially begun construction, with the centerpiece, Elsa’s Ice Palace, starting to take shape. Set to open in 2026, this magical new land promises to fully immerse guests in the frosty wonder of Arendelle, bringing to life Elsa’s iconic palace in stunning detail.

North Mountain Towers Above Elsa’s Ice Palace
One of the most breathtaking elements of World of Frozen is the towering North Mountain, which will rise 118 feet into the air. Not only will the mountain serve as a majestic visual landmark throughout Disneyland Paris, but it will also act as a central focal point for the entire land. The North Mountain will be visible from various parts of the park, creating an unforgettable backdrop to Elsa’s magical kingdom and adding to the immersive experience for guests.
At 42 feet tall, Elsa’s Ice Palace will be an awe-inspiring structure, built from around 30 interconnected pieces. Designed to evoke Elsa’s ice powers, the palace will glisten with over 300 Swarovski crystals, adding an extra layer of sparkle and luxury. Weighing in at an impressive 15 tons, the palace promises to be a feat of engineering and design, drawing guests into the magical world of Frozen.

An Immersive Frozen World
Beyond the Ice Palace, World of Frozen will bring many of the most beloved locations from Frozen and Frozen II to life. Guests can explore iconic settings such as Arendelle’s village and the Enchanted Forest, with attractions, dining, and entertainment all inspired by the films. The immersive world will be a haven for fans of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf, offering an adventure for visitors of all ages.
