For more than one year, Disneyland Resort’s gates remained closed as the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe. Finally, in April 2021, The Happiest Place on Earth reopened once again, and magic made its way down Main Street, U.S.A. However, there were many changes in place, like mandatory mask mandates, theme park reservations, social distancing guidelines, and Park Hopping restrictions. Mask mandates and social distancing are now a thing of the past, but theme park reservations and Park Hopping restrictions remain in place.
Right now, the rules state that Guests visiting both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure can hop to the other Park beginning at 1 p.m. daily. However, in just a few weeks, that will change in a big way. Theme Park reporter Scott Gustin shared that, on February 4, Guests with a Park Hopper ticket will be able to change Parks at 11 a.m.!
NEW: Park hopping hours at Disneyland will begin at 11 a.m. starting February 4. Also starting on that date, guests will also be able to receive complimentary PhotoPass attraction downloads for the Disney100 celebration

In addition to making the Park Hopping time earlier, Guests will also be able to get complimentary PhotoPass downloads to celebrate The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary. Certain Magic Keys — AKA Annual Passes — come with unlimited PhotoPass downloads, so that will not change.
The change to Disney Park Hopper restrictions will come less than two weeks after Disneyland kicks off its Disney100 celebration. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will see new events for the celebration. Wondrous Journeys — a new fireworks show — will be shown at Disneyland, and World of Color – ONE will show at Disney California Adventure Park. Both shows premiere on January 27.
In addition to the new shows, the highly-anticipated Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will also open on January 27. There will also be a ton of new, celebratory food offerings, and 1ooth merchandise is already on sale. While most of the 100th events will take place at Disneyland, Disney has said that all other theme parks will also celebrate the 100th Anniversary.
At this time, Park Hopping at Walt Disney World Resort will remain 2 p.m., but that could change sometime in the near future. Both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will continue to require all Guests to have a theme park reservation.
This year will certainly be a great time to celebrate the magic of Disney at The Happiest Place on Earth!
