Disney Just Made Traveling to Its Orlando Resort Easier With a New Airline Partnership

Disney just expanded one of its most practical travel perks, and the addition of two major carriers to the program means significantly more guests can now take advantage of it. The Airport Luggage Transfer service at Walt Disney World, operated by BagCheck, has added American Airlines and United Airlines to its coverage, joining Southwest Airlines, which has been part of the program since it launched in April 2025. Disney has also indicated that additional airlines could be added in the future, suggesting this expansion is not the last one guests will see.

What the Disney Service Actually Does

The Airport Luggage Transfer service removes the most tedious parts of travel from both ends of a Disney World trip. On arrival, guests can skip baggage claim entirely at Orlando International Airport and go straight to their resort while their bags are delivered behind the scenes. On departure, guests can drop their bags at their resort before heading to the airport, and they will be waiting at baggage claim at their final destination. For families traveling with multiple bags and young children, the practical value of not having to manage luggage through a busy airport at either end of a Disney vacation is genuinely significant.

How to Use It for Arrivals

Register at enroll.bagcheck.com between five and 30 days before your flight using your Disney Resorts Collection hotel confirmation number and your airline confirmation number. If you register more than seven days before your flight, luggage tags will be mailed to you. Register within seven days, and no tags will be sent, but your bags will still be delivered. On travel day, check in and drop off bags with your airline as normal. When you land at MCO, skip baggage claim and go straight to your resort. Contact Luggage Assistance at the resort by phone or in person at the lobby to collect your bags. Guests arriving after 11:00 p.m. can either collect bags at MCO baggage claim or wait up to four hours for BagCheck to deliver them to the resort.

How to Use It for Departures

Check in for your flight online starting 24 hours before departure and pay any baggage fees through your airline. Drop bags at Luggage Assistance in the resort lobby at least four hours before your flight with a valid photo ID. Head to the airport, go through security, and collect your bags at baggage claim at your destination. Luggage Assistance is available 24 hours a day, and Disney strongly encourages dropping off bags the night before your flight whenever possible. Boarding passes must be ready before drop-off, as printing is not available at the resorts.

Which Disney Resorts Are Participating

The service is currently available at five Disney Value Resort hotels. Those are Pop Century Resort, All-Star Movies Resort, All-Star Music Resort, All-Star Sports Resort, and Art of Animation Resort. Guests staying at Moderate or Deluxe Resort hotels who want to use BagCheck can switch to a Value Resort for their final night to access it. If your flight is canceled, your bags will automatically be redirected to your new flight.

Why the Disney Expansion Matters

Southwest Airlines covers a meaningful portion of travelers flying into MCO, but adding American Airlines and United Airlines brings two of the largest carriers operating at Orlando International into the program. The share of Disney World guests who now qualify for this service is considerably larger than it was before this expansion, and the indication that more airlines could be added suggests the program is heading toward covering the majority of guests flying through MCO at some point. For anyone who has ever spent a final Disney morning managing luggage through the resort and the airport on the same day, this service is the kind of practical improvement that changes the whole experience of traveling to and from Walt Disney World. The expansion is live now, and registration is open.
