Happy Disney World Annual Pass Day to you and yours!
The sale of Annual Passes for Walt Disney World began today, and if you’ve been online this morning at all, you’ve probably already become all too familiar with the process: log in to the annual pass page, wait. And wait. And wait some more.
But it looks like part of that wait might just be worth it as Disney World has just introduced us to the idea of Bonus Reservations for Annual Pass holders.
Need a refresher on those new pass levels? There are four, and each has a certain number of park day reservations permitted, unique perks, and a unique price tag. (If you’re a non-Florida resident, only concern yourself with the top tier. Yep, there’s your only option.)
Each one offered comes with an allotment of days a Guest can reserve in the parks. Here’s what those allotments look like on the new annual passes:
Disney Incred-Pass: up to 5 days’ reservations at one time
Disney Sorcerer Pass: up to 5 days’ reservations at one time
Disney Pirate Pass: up to 4 days’ reservations at one time
Disney Pixie Dust Pass: up to 3 days’ reservations at one time
Newly-revealed Bonus Reservations are in addition to the above-mentioned limits, meaning, for example, if you purchase an Incredi-Pass (non-FL resident here), you can make reservations for the 5 days of your choosing, based on park availability, and then snag an additional bonus day on top of those!
The only catch is that Bonus Reservations are only offered on select days and at select parks on those days, and there aren’t too many of them, from what we can tell so far. As of this morning, the first offerings of Bonus Reservation Days include:
- Saturday, September 11 – only at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Tuesday, September 14 – only at EPCOT
